EAH6670 for Skyrim and Saints Row 3

    Hi, I was looking for a videocard that would play Skyrim and Saints Row 3 on medium settings, would this one do fine?
    Asus Radeon EAH6670/G/DI/1GD3 - 1GB - PCI-E

    I saw on uesp.net that a HD6670 would play skyrim on medium/high settings but I don't know if HD is different to EAH.

    There are two 5770 cards listed , much better than the 6670 , and the XFX card from dabs is less than 10 euros more than the card you listed .

    I can't see the 5770s, but I'll definitely go for the xfx unless the 5770s turn out to be a very good deal.

    I pressed the wrong key , the cards are 6770 , not 5770 .

    They are slightly updated from the 5770 , and much better than the 6670.

    I'm looking at a 6670 too, so wondering how would it be for gaming?
    I know it's decent but looking for a little more than guess work here :)

    I currently am using a nVidia GT 555M in my laptop and when comparing the two the 6670 looks quite favourable.
    Radeon HD 6670 - 1229
    nVidia GeForce GT 555M - 1016

    My laptop can run Skyrim @1600x900 all settings at Ultra except shadows turned down to Low and the game runs perfectly. So I assume the 6670 should have no issue pushing a 1680x1050 22" monitor running games like Skyrim and Battlefield 3 at high settings.


    Now before people laugh at me for even considering the 6670.
    The PC I would be upgrading is a family PC and doesn't get used for gaming much. It's a off the shelf Medion.
    It's got a Q6600 and I assume the PSU is fairly unimpressive, never bothered to open it up to check.
    It came with a GT 8600 which uses 47W according to hwcompare so a 60W 6670 should slot into the machine quite nicely without having to upgrade the PSU.

    So if the 6670 could run current games well enough I think for €70 it's not bad. If I go any higher I will have to get a new PSU aswell and if I'm getting a PSU I might aswell overclock the CPU, which means new mobo+RAM and sure then I might aswell get a 2500k and you won't be able to stop me until I spend €1200 :P

    Well , I have both a 5670 (512MB) and a 5770 (1GB), which are more or less the same as the 6670 and 6770 respectively .

    I run everything at 1920x1080 , and Metro 2033 and Crysis run very well with my 5670 (paired with an Athlon IIx4), with all settings at medium .

    If I bump the settings to high , I get stuttering , and the games are unplayable .

    I don't know about Skyrim or Battlefield 3 , but Battlefield 2 runs well mith a mix of medium and high with the 5670 .

    The 5770 , with all settings the same gives a smoother experience / higher framerate ,and I can change most settings to high .

    The 6770 would be a nice option especially since it comes from dabs with Deus Ex:HR for free which is a game I want to get at some stage, but unfortunately it's power draw would probably mean a new PSU would be required too.

    It does help, thanks. The 5670 looks very comparable to the 6670, so much so I'm guessing the 6670 is a rebranded 5670. BF3 barely runs at all on the 8600 GT so if it could run it at medium then I would be happy, especially since I won't even be using it :P

    It's basically just a rebrand , with a few minor tweaks .

    I'm happy enough with settings at medium with my 5670 and a mix of medium / high with my 5770 (running @ 1920x1080) :) , and have no interest in spending 150+ for a graphics card
