Well I'm not surprised the 49ers have started so well, I'd backed the Saints (-3.5) on PP!

Wow. Maybe the 49ers can do this after all. Killer TO again for the Saints. Lost one on the SF 2 and now a 49er drive starts on their 2.

some run after the int ..
    even a FG here is a great 1 Q for 9ers
    TD

Lot of productivity from Niner first round draft picks through a quarter! Great protection for Smith and great composure from the QB

Frank Gore won't get too much credit there, but my God that was a serious block.

    Some start for San Fran!

Great blitz protection from Gore! Great 1st quarter for the 49er's! On the INT...even if Goldson hadn't got it the CB on Arrington was there to make a play on the ball!

Will we see AirBrees now or later in the third? Need a long sustained drive now Payton to quieten that crowd.....good game....:)

Nice quick releases fromS mith so far not giving the defence much chance of exerting pressure. Good play calls.

If the 49er's get another TD here I'd nearly call it!

What a disaster of a first quarter for the Saints. Another TD here and the game is close to won for SF.

Hmmm, it's just not the same playing outdoors, on the road, is it?

Not with Brees you couldn't. The Saints have had about the worst quarter of football imaginable....still a long way to go in this one.

Jeez if this turns into a no contest may not bother waiting around to watch the other game....

Think we'll see it now....this game is far from done even if the SAINTS go down 28 zip, they have the ability to get it back....

Those 2 Fumble's and the INT could easily have happened in a dome!

Well I won't be calling it now since they only got the FG!

If they had got the TD you easily could have called it, Bress or not! The Saints would be chasing the game so would be throwing more, which would mean the Saints could commit to the pass more and make it extremely difficult for them!

Tine to back the saints....and bet fair isn't working for me!

Even though the Saints are a pass-happy team, they still needed the threat of the run to hold the SF pass rush back. They're going to start looking one-dimensional now.

SF will be looking to shorten the game from here on in.
