Got a free Xperia Ray, want to customise it.

Work has given me a free xperia ray, and i'm a little bit familiar with android phones, but not on a day to day basis. I'm currently using an iphone as my personal phone, and would like to customise my ray. I'm not interested in rooting for now, nor do i need much advice on the usual apps (the ones i use most on the iphone are usually available on the market)

I just want advice on themes, wallpapers and above all, the new world of widgets.

Also, any other advice on using an android will be most helpful.
