Unless things have changed in the last few years, you have to apply for a new provisional for the licence.

You'll then have to apply for a test for the EB

If you pass the test, you send in the cert and both licences.
They'll then issue a new licence with both items listed.
They will also date the date both were issued.

I presume you know there are size limits involved

i.e. you can pull a certain size trailer on just a B licence
