    I was on the 78a a while ago, on my way to the Social Welfare Collection point, and this unsavoury bus driver tried to make me stop taking my many drugs. I of course stabbed him, alighted the bus, and proceded to continue my drug taking and listening to music of the "Rave" genre outside a local supermarket.

    This one time, I saw this guy with a real North Dublin accent on the news, and the way he was going on about his different bank accounts and different currencies and such, it was clear he was fiddling the system but wouldn't admit it.

    I heard he left his wife: typical skanger abandoning his responsibilities!

    He also had the traditional terrible fashion sense of the skanger. I once saw him in this horrible, garish yellow ensemble.

    Another time I heard him tell some people that they should kill themselves. Couldn't believe that. Shocking thing to say, and such disregard for people.

    I even saw him at the Galway Races once, when you get a lot of scumbags about as the place is full of tourists to be robbed.
    He was scrounging money off people left, right and centre without an ounce of shame.

    He was easily the biggest skanger I've ever seen.

    When I was younger any self respecting "skanger" would listen to only "Rave" music. Like Sunset FM (I think) and things like that. What do they listen to nowadays? That type of awful techno music doesn't really exist anymore does it? I'm talking about the 90s mostly, I lost track of "skanger" music after that.

    rave eh. a genre, or a beat? I was told by an avid fan the genre is one beat. I told him it's an electronic metronome.. bringing the underlying basic tempo never supposed to be heard to the fore for a newfounded level of dumb. It's evolution babeeeeh .. sorta went on to shape popular music of today? backbone. bff bff bff bff .. rinse and repeat. I reckon cavemen were layin down more complex rythms sure how could you not

    Just go on FB n search under any city here n you will have a field day op. 'regular lad' of today likely amounts to skanger anyhow so anyone who's not consciously trying to step outside that has likely been consumed. Were at least ska heads back in '82.. Sigh. Now its unwitting skanger heads. What they need is a good look in the Mirror in the Bathroom
