Can you do this trick with Apple TV?

Thanks for the PS3 link Sparrow, my xbox is out of commission at the moment.

After you enter the DNS, do you just reboot the PS3?

Go the connection test and check it is ok then restart. Then when you click Netflix, hold start and select and agree to reset it.

Log in with your Netflix details and you should be all set and enjoying Netflix USA.

Not listed on that webpage but maybe it will work if you can change the DNS settings on the Apple TV?

Does it accept your existing irish netflix details?

Loving this so far. When I am bored I just throw on some Top Gear and chill. The quality is also great. Only issue I have is I think the website is awful for trying to browse.

Wow, up to 8 hours to change the parental access level. Coupled with only one login per account, that sucks!

Have you tried using it with Expat Shield? It's a free UK VPN but you'll need to install some ad blocker with it ;)

I will give that a go - thank you!

does that unblock-us thing have to be paid for? i see a free trial mentioned.

just to further elaborate on this, tried unblock us and everytime i want to go near netflix or the like in my browser its asking me to start a trial, is the ps3 the same?

Thanks all... Rang them and they reset my password. Good service, I was barely on hold at all.

Also rather asewomely, I realised that you can do the same thing posted earlier for the Xbox on a PS3! Just follow these instructions:

    http://support.unblock-us.com/customer/portal/articles/291530-setting-up-ps3

So I have full access to the American Netflix site... There is a lot of content!

Tried to use unblock-us for the Logitech Revue /Google TV.

When I follow the instructions for Google tv & set IP to static, & key in the specified DNS, I'm told ethernet not connected , so cant proceed ? Anyone get this to work with the Revue ?

Basically, yes. Except I signed up for the free trial on that website. I just entered my email address and it sent me a verification email. I'll see what happens when the trial expires after a week.

I haven't switched back yet but I'll do it this morning and report back if there are any issues.

Did you clear the Netflix settings?
    Switching from different Netflix account

If your Wii was registered with another (e.g. Canadian) Netflix account and you want to switch it to US do following:

    1. From the Wii home screen click on round "Wii" (Options) button in bottom left corner
    2. Click "Data Management"
    3. Click "Save Data"
    4. Click "Wii"
    5. Find "Netflix Channel" (red square with letter N), click on it, select "Erase" and then confirm "Yes"
    6. Try to find more "Netflix Channel" icons in that area, scroll to next screen if required (there could be more than one saved block)
    7. Return to Wii menu and start Netflix Channel. You should get "Are you a Netflix member?" question and when you answer "Yes" it will show you activation code, which you can use at netflix.com/activate.

Yeah no joy either. Refuses to connect. The Wii is fully hacked though so maybe I should try changing it's region. It's been sitting up for months after the disc drive failed and I figured the parents would knock good use out of a us netflix account...

Not on it.. but one way to know I reckon is that content will have the US ratings (e.g PG-13, R etc).

Just signed up, I'm getting an playback error anytime I try and watch something, what's that about?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 220 ✭✭pauld

I have a ps3 and apple tv connected to the one tv. If I change the ps3 to america and leave the apple tv as is, does that mean I will have access to both the Irish and American sites?

Did you apply the settings to the box or router?
