Womens Football in Waterford

Hi
Does anyone know of a ladies GAA football club in the waterford/tramore/dungarvan area? I'm from Cavan and have been living in Dublin for years but I'm working in Waterford for 2012. I used to play football for years until I started college and would love to start again, even if just to go to the training. Thanks!

Waterford/Tramore/Dungarvan - pretty almost the length of the county there you're talking about!

From memory I'm aware of two teams in Dungarvan - Dungarvan GAA and Abbeyside. There is one in Tramore GAA and Kilmacthomas GAA which is about 20 mins outside Waterford city on the road to Dungarvan.

I'm sure there are a good few others as well.

I think Comeragh Rangers are based in Rathgormack, & there used to be a club in Tramore. not sure if it's still there.

St Annes is a club in Kill.

Ladies Gaelic used to be very popular in the 90's but has been eclipsed a lot recently by camoige.

It was dominated by clubs in the mid & west part of the county especially Ballymacarbery, Na Deise in Touraneena/Modeligo & St Pats in Kilgobinet/Colligan.

Still are, was surprised that they were beaten by the Kerry champions this year, contested the Munster A and B club final the year before
