Garda are searching a hunting lodge and surrounding lands near Baltinglass Wicklow, the area is near where Larry Murphy lived.
Has this anything to do with the find in the Dublin mountains yesterday.

Hah, I haven't read Aertel in years. It reminds me of looking at a pc screen from the early 90s.

Gardaí say they are carrying out a routine search in a remote area in west Wicklow.

Around 20 gardaí from the divisional search units are searching a hunting lodge and the surrounding private lands around Baltinglass.

The area is near the place where convicted rapist Larry Murphy was arrested almost 12 years ago.

A woman whom he had raped and abducted was found nearby tied up in the boot of his car.

Murphy was subsequently sentenced to 15 years in prison and released in August of 2010.

The search is taking place on private land.

Coincidence maybe but it does seem strange the day after they find another body.

They are saying that the body yesterday was gang related so larry murphy link may not be there.

The only remote area the Gardaí routinely search is the top of the filing cabinet for a Twix

    Quit bashing Aertel

It's fantastic for getting the Lotto numbers and checking the TV listings

And RTÉ are making a leap by bringing up Larry Murphy. Could well be gangland and have nothing to do with him

Larry Murphy played at full back for Baltinglass Junior B's, a position that requires savage strength, enough strength to subdue and murder a woman.....

or something....well that's what the Sunday world said back then!!

When you have the remote control in your hand and watching TV are you going to fire up the laptop or phone or computer?

Why bother when Aertel is in front of you

They probably were scouring the area looking for soil disturbances. If there weren't any there's no point in continuing the search.

So are you thinking they think he`s murdered someone again?! Just riduculous they should have got him and put him away/put him down years ago I would bet a million those other girls bodies are there. Can`t they do some undergroud xray thing - of course not they`re idiots they couldn`t find there arse with a map.

Maybe their acting on new information? This area may not have been searched before at the time of the original investigation. I'd be slow about calling the gardai idiots too. The area is vast. Finding a body up there is like looking for a needle in a haystack.

The Aertel news item says it was a routine search. What routine means in this context is not clear.:confused::confused:

No trust me you have no idea how stupid they are. I have a missing family member and you just wouldn`t believe the level of incompetance we have seen - lossing evidence and files left right and centre, including body parts. Coming up with pure rubbish that lacks basic sense and not carrying out any investigation.
