This is some beautiful peace of Journalism,

    Some Quotes:

“If it’s good weed, it really does your head in,” says Adam (21). “The other day a motor bike came up near me, and I thought I was going to be shot. I was paranoid out of my head. That’s what it does to you.”

"Louise (18) says she spends most of the €200 a week she gets from her Fás course on skunk. The varieties differ: white widow, amnesia haze or purple haze. She describes getting “whiteys” – turning white, getting sick – from the stronger home-grown grass which she tries to avoid. It doesn’t stop her, though"

    Full article here: http://www.irishtimes.com/newspaper/weekend/2012/0107/1224309929109.html

What kind of drivel is this, article, full of bullcrap assumptions and unfounded lies.

WFT are FAS giving her €200 a week to smoke, it's about time they drug tested everyone on the SW, I'm fcuked if my taxes are going to keep Jezebelles like her high for the next 60 years.
The Irish Times should out her.

"Samples from seizures of cannabis herb found that Irish cultivation had very high THC levels and very low CBD levels compared to imported herb and resin, or hash. The average proportion of THC for suspected imports was 5.8 per cent, while for Irish samples the figure was 13.5 per cent."

Analysis of samples found the above results. This is all factual info. Where are the assumptions and lies you refer to?

If the girl's story is factual then the weed is the least of her concerns. Easy to blame it for all her other problems though.

I hate people who have one drag of a joint and cry paranioa and have panic attacks. Im small and skinny and drink just makes me have blackouts evrytime how dangerous is not even rememberin wat ur doing from a drug. Alcohol should be illegal. Newsflash cannabis may actually make u think and not fall over in astupour incoherant etc.

Mostly drivel yeah, with a token attempt at balance by quoting Ming talking sense.

Pretty sure cannabis seeds have always been, and still are legal.

They analyzed samples and got results. That is a fact.

You are assuming they didn't. That is your opinion.

There is a difference between fact and opinion.

Can you prove these tests were not carried out?

Nope. Bird seed is hemp seed. Perfectly legal. Cannabis seed just a strain of hemp) contains no THC, so not illegal either.

The best thing about the drugs debate, is how open-minded both sides are.

Wait, so you have had some nasty side effects from alcohol so it should me made illegal but even though other people have had nasty side effects from dope, they are wrong because it has happened to you so it is therefore fine.

Its like me having a couple of pints every now and again and deciding that alcohol has no bad side effects because nothing ever bad happens to me and sure don't we have the best conversations after a few pints?

Calm down....due to our climate our weed is grown under lights, hence the the high THC levels. That is all....nothing major here...

Climate isn't really an issue. Hydroponics are used in even the best of climates to ensure the highest yields possible.

But they are also comparing THC levels in homegrown strains vs those imported from other countries where hydroponics are used. i.e. Holland, not where weed is grown freely in fields (which will never result in good quality product).

In fairness weed is notorious for causing nasty paranoia. It doesn't mean it should be illegal though it just means you should take a break for a while and clear your head with exercise. Too much of anything is bad for you

The level of cannabis’s main psychoactive chemical, tetrahydrocannabinol or THC, is several times higher in grow-house skunk compared with hash.
Yes and beer is ten times stronger than whiskey. What a bunch of muppets. Absolutely no clue what they're talking about.
