You're not joking. one shopkeeper in mahon point was overheard telling his staff to clear off the window display and put in the summer stock today.

    Twould drive you mad.

In a few yaers you'll walk into a shop before christmas and they'll be selling stuff intended for Christmas the year after. All stuff expected to be fashionable next year, pre order for iPads that havn't been even announced yet and so on

more than likely the remains of summer 2011 stuff for the post Christmas sales, if he was overheard correctly of course.

Scotts is now The Oliver Plunkett by Brian Clayton, on Flickr

I was never fond of it as Scotts, I wonder is it the same people running it now?

It's the same owners as in the people who own Riordans, but they've changed staff and are trying for a Preacher's vibe, another place they own (they copied the Preacher's hardrive for the Plunkett recently)

They're putting on gigs upstairs. The manager Steve wants more of a jeans/t-shirt vibe with alternative music. Given time I think it could work.

Is it me or are the times showing gibberish? Not likely to give people confidence in the system

I expect so. the first phase has 47 stops with the info, so that doesn't leave much scope for routes outside the main city ones I imagine.

they were literally installing that system when I took the photograph. You can see it's in testing.

    It looks more like this:

A friend of mine in CIT said they took down the bus stop there and replaced it with what looks like one that's exactly the same, so maybe they put something there to get that ready for real time?
