    Very nice.
I spotted they had the whole boardwalk pub reserved for them along with a large section of the boardwalk itself when I was leaving work.
It was p1ssing rain at that stage

good stuff, all go ok? Its a good idea getting both eyes done separately, I remember being told by two different providers that both had to be done together!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 192 ✭✭corked

was meant to get them both done but had a problem getting the clamp around the first eye!

Also glad just to get the one eye done in case of a problem.

I've never been part of a general chit chat thread before.

Hmmm, MY NEWS: I bought some halloween cookie cutters this morning online.

Maybe my lack of exciting updates is the reason I usual avoid these threads.....

wtf why would anyone want anything like that anywhere near your eye. it's like getting an injection in the mouth. eeeeek

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,385 ✭✭✭✭D'Agger

Got a cut on my eye a few weeks back - had to go to CUH and get it checked out - they check pressure by getting this rod to touch your eye

Doc told me to stop blinking - wtf was I supposed to do - it's a reflex!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,744 ✭✭✭deRanged

oh man. that would freak me out. I hate anything near my eyes.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,793 ✭✭✭oeb

I had a stye removed from my eye once.

You know that injection you get in your gums when you go to the dentist?

Well the removal starts with one of them ....... into your eyelid

Yeah, had something in my eye before last xmas. Went to cuh, doc looked at it and said I can see it. Put drops in my eyes then came towards my eye with a .... needle!! I jumped back, wtf like. A needle to catch the piece of plastic. He gave out to me too. Meanie.:o

I had a lady doctor who was sound however she failed to mention that the drops she put in my eyes to allow her find the cut on the eye were yellow....I looked like some sort of mutant in KCs getting my food after....only noticed when I got home :(

Same happened to me. Had conjuctivitus in both eyes and in the GP's office she put in these drops for me and told me to head to the toilet on the way out to give them a wipe, of course no mirror inside there. Went into college for a few hours with my eyes caked in this yellow layer. Looked like a serious drug addict. Was wondering why i had been getting such strange looks off people :P

If you hop over to the Photography forum you might find someone willing to trade their services (presuming you don't have a photographer yet.) Generally it's models who swap their time posing to get portfolio pictures while the photographer gets the pictures of the model for their portfolio. I don't see why it wouldn't work with you getting pictures of your make up for your portfolio, the photographer getting pictures for their portfolio, and Miss_Shadow and Cadyboo getting a couple of prints of themselves dolled up.

This is the thread to post in if you're interested in it. http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055524252

I've just started a photography course so I'm not good enough yet to offer my own services, nor do I have the equipment, but you've a good chance of finding an amateur Cork photographer willing to do it. I've gone on a photowalk with a few of the Cork lads and they're decent people, and good photographers.

Its normally composed of 3 parts - first is a 5 word challenege where you basically write something in 10 minutes on the basis of 5 random words thrown out. Second is a guest speaker, maybe once every two months an Irish poet, usually English though. Third is open mic where anything goes - poetry, creative writing, singing, guitar etc.

Did all those people sign releases? ;)

O'Bhéal was good, far too packed though to enjoy it as much as Monday nights though. Headed to Riordans after (which I normally hate) for Blue Moose after, which kicked ass.
