GSD on Student A/C ?

Hi all. Never posted in Biz before so bear with me. I was wondering if Gov. Stamp Duty has always been charged on student bank accounts? I understood it to be that current accounts w/credit card are charged with GSD but not debit cards/student accounts. Suddenly I've been charged with GSD. Anyone?

Hi all.

Gsd is charge to all debit cards regardless if it's a student account or not.

Visa debit, link and laser card are charge €2.50-€5 depending on card type every January, while credit cards are charged €30 in April.

AIB pay the GSD on 2nd Level Student accounts - either €2.50 for Banklink or €5.00 for Debit / Maestro etc.
