Where can I get a decent quality data / charging cable for an IPhone / IPod?

I have gone through 4 original Apple data cables since I got my IPhone 4 last year. The originals are absolute rubbish just like the stock headphones that come with these units.

I have already upgraded my in ear headphones to Shure 5X series and won't look back, Is there any manufacture producing decent quality data cables?

I don't mind paying extra for quality. Ie something with reinforced ends that don't come apart.

    Cheers.

What I do it duct tape the ends before they break, where the cable meets the head.
This way the ends will be stiffer and not bend so much at the weakest points.

I ordered a Belkin cable a while back mainly because I need a longer one than Apple provided for charging my iPhone. But the one I got (€34) is heavy duty and the cable is extremely thick. I'd say it suits your need but it is a bit on the long side so not sure if that's a problem for you.

It's this one here but I ordered from Amazon to avoid the shipping charge. Seen them in HMV, Henry Street yesterday for €34 actually.

Yeh there crap alright. Mine are now lasting longer as I realised I was pulling them out with the wire. Use the actual head or whatever you call it, to pull it out and they will last longer.

I have a few Belkin USB PC cables and can't fault them, I must look into their IPhone stuff, I would be very slow to buy Belkin off the Dublin high street because of their savage prices, , Ill check EBay. Cheers.

I would be a bit of a perfectionist and couldn't have that, I would sooner shrink wrap a sieve with a heat gun but these cables have bulky ends that would restrict heat shrinking.
