Doubling up on that; it's really not worth it.

As you can see, I still haven't left :p

I'll see about the all-nighter... I usually get wrecked by about 2am and end up going to bed anyway. I might just take the two of yous' advice and do two good hours of reading/looking over notes and head to bed at 12...

Really freaking out now :/:/ I need to calm down before I end up having a panic attack or something.

Cup of tea, straight to bed, and The Flaming Lips!

    :( Poor divil's.

Exam layout today for Film. Should be OK. Jazz is my next worry.

Edit: Little bit of inadvertent sexism in that song. Speaks about the gender-neutral 'scientists' then, "they're just humans, with wives and children". Tutut, expect better from the greatest rock band ever.

    DON'T GET IT

Drank two cans while studying last night and felt incredibly sick all day.

    <3 Futurama.

Yes, yes I am being serious. It's a module where you watch Peckinpah films. . . AMAZING!

You do get to watch some awesome films alright. Actually, all of the ones we watched were pretty good.

Don't think you can procrastinate much more than deferring the year...Good luck guys :)

Anyone else feel like the exam you're least prepared for is the one you're worried about least as well?

I'll probably be repeating Quantum Mechanics 2, no point worrying about it now :pac:

The ones I'm alright-ish prepared for, however, have me feeling sick :(

I don't do a film module, but I love The Wild Bunch.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 945 ✭✭✭CaoimH_in

    Peckinpah is the man.

Jazz & Pop has me sick.

Edit: @Yourtexthere We watched Wall-e this year too; as our pick your own film from the noughties. But yeah, class module.

Why 3 questions like?! It's just cruel.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,034 ✭✭✭rcaz

The revision guidelines for pop and jazz are so vague, and it's the first exam of a new course, and the two lectures are really nice, I bet the exam will be fine. Sure Adrian's practically telling us what's on the exam isn't he? (I've got a post on Moodle waiting for a reply that'll clear that up :p)

I'm a little worried about the jazz section, but like I said, Laura left the revision topics so broad that the questions have to be wide open too, right?

Oh ridiculously, it's nonsense. I'm doing the transfer of swing to bop; the beginnings and maybe Dixieland.

Rock n' Roll and Punk for Adrian.

Swing and bebop, black and white, smart and dumb... So much of the course can be used for a discussion on discrimination and prejudice and stuff.

Prejudice is a good point to lean on but I really doubt there'll be a question on it. PM me your e-mail there too.

Frack, I've a load of books on punk & other stuff that I could have lent people if they needed ones, they're in Sligo though. Library's pretty crap for it.

Also, you got to watch Wall-E in film? Jealous! I heard yous didn't have Luke this year, so I suppose there was a few different films on the course.

    I hear dat. Memories! *tear*

I should probably start studying, my exam is on thursday...

I'll get to sleep early tonight and start tomorrow. That's the plan anyway, although previous plans (e.g. start in the new year, start tomorrow etc) have been unsuccessful...

Anyone else think exams on saturday are ridiculous?

From a transport point of view, most of the buses probably won't be running on Saturdays, so left with the option of a train to Dublin and then another 2hr 45min bus journey, on a Saturday night, on my own....:(
