    Hi all,
quick question, i hope someone can answer

    - if I get married abroad and I take my fiance's surname, will the name change be recognised also in Ireland also?

    Thanks a lot

if you get married in vegas on a whim then its legally married. So once you have done everything properly, then yes

I got married abroad and my marriage cert was accepted by all the relevant authorities here.

    Hi

thanks very much for the replies.

I am living abroad and just wanted to make sure I wouldn't face any issues with my new married name if we ever move back to Ireland.
