    Hi,

I'm looking to find a pair of cotton/linen pants and a lightweight linen shirt for a beach wedding in March, any idea where this could be got in Dublin in Jan??

    Thanks a mill!

For out of season wear like that your best bet is a tailor. You can get bespoke trousers for circa E175, if you want a shirt Dalvey or Brown Thomas, both on Grafton St., do a made-to-measure service and as part of that is picking your own cloth then you could get a linen fabric.

    Cheers Ladhrann,

Dalvey have a great range of shirts alright which will def fit the bill. The trousers are a bit more difficult... I couldnt imagine dropping 175 quid for a pair which I'm not going to get the weather for wearing here in Ireland. Thanks though.

You're welcome. One thing about buying off the peg linen trousers though is that the weight of the weave isn't sufficient to stop a shadow being thrown on the cloth in strong light.

So make sure to match your boxers to whatever shade you pick in the end. If you get made-to-measure or bespoke the cloth will be dense enough not to let this happen or the trousers can be half-lined front and back in a breathable lining to avoid this.

Just thought I'd mention this as its not something guys have to thing of often.
