1000 file checkin query

    Hi,
    I'm working with 1000 files. I want to keep a track of which files I've opened and which I haven't looked at. I'd like to view this in an explorer windows with perhaps a change of icon for files I've viewed. SVN sounds like overkill for this. Any ideas on an application or explorer extensions that can do this for me ? Thanks.

    There is the date accessed field, which should tell you whenever you open the file. If you go to Sort by -> More, you should be able to check Date accessed. View -> Details will also show this in the column headings.

    You can then keep track based on this date (i.e. take start date of work, if date less than, you haven't read).

    I believe updating this timestamp is disabled on Windows 7, but can be re-enabled: http://www.groovypost.com/howto/microsoft/enable-last-access-time-stamp-to-files-folder-windows-7/.
