Working For 123.ie

Hi,

Does anyone know, either by reputation or first hand, what 123.ie are like to work for? (Mainly in regards to salary, atmosphere etc.) Just trying to decide whether to apply for a job with them.

Not sure what position you're going for but I know someone who worked for their development department who hated it. Really stressful and bad atmosphere and bad hours, e.g. a release about every 2 weeks which had to be done at night (1 or 2 am) with the devs there and then being expected back in work before 9am. From what I recall overtime was expected on both weekdays and weekends but not paid for.

From what I recall salary was about average but no as said overtime so overall low for what was expected (but not 100% on this one).

If you're going for a call center (or other) position all the above may be completely off the mark as different departments can have different expectations.

I applied for a job with them a few years ago and had loads of relevant experience and an almost complete insurance qualification & didn't get so much as an application acknowledgement!

Definitely stick in an application though, I'm finding that it's hard to get so much as an interview so you may as well apply for as many as you can & if you happen to be successful through the process, then decide if it's the job for you. Good luck;)
