How often do you buy new underwear and socks?

Had a bit of a debate over a few pints the other day. I haven't a clue how we got onto the conversation but among the four of us there was quite a difference in how often we buy new undies/socks/toothbrush etc

Some where surprised that I wash socks/boxers after wearing them once :-0

Anyway, how long do you wait before bining them and buying a new pair?

Whenever I need them.I have prolly 20 to 30 pairs of boxers and even more socks so it takes a while to wear em out.

I always said, that if I was the richest man in the world, my greatest luxury would be to put on new socks everyday. I love the feeling of new ones and not having to match them. My wife bought me 365 pairs as a wedding present.

(I couldn't be so wastefull though (and I'm not rich!) 6 years later and I wouldn't say I'm even half way through the big black sack in the attic)

I have about 30 pairs of underwear and about 50 pairs of sock. Tend to buy them in bulk when in the US. Timberland socks are very comfy, so when there I tend to buy 20+ pairs at a time

CK do lovely comfy fine socks so buy one or two box sets when I need them in Debenhams..

I got 13 pairs of socks for xmas so i doubt i'll be buying anymore for a while. Must stock up on boxers though :pac:

Embarrassing fact - I never buy them, I've robbed about 20 pairs off my bro this year and my ma, relatives buy me this stuff every now and then. I should probably break this cycle.

I could never wear my brothers boxers.Even if they are freshly washed I dunno,the thoughts of his giblets being in the same place as my own is kinda cringe inducing.Id liken it to someone using my razor tbh.

Myself, I wear them until they perish completely, embarassed to say. Must pick up a few new pairs soon.

I don't even have enough pairs of underwear to get through the week, so I usually do a wash mid week, I have enough pairs of socks for the week but not much more.

I genuinely can't remember the last time I bought underwear, you can actually see the elastic on some of mine atm they're so worn. I keep meaning to buy some but I'm lazy and they're kinda expensive!

Only get new'uns when laundry needs a doin' but the machine is kaput, or I have a lot of'em have worn down.

Was actually gonna get a new load of socks in around about now, but sure, traditional presents for Christmas and all that. Got a pair with Rodger the Dodger on'em :cool:

It's not a question of how often I buy them but when I need to buy them, and that's when they are no longer elasticated in the case of boxers or when the socks have holes in them.

Socks are bought occasionally, however I could go years without buying a new pair of boxers.

I'm changing my boxer after january I'm going to go for all sorts of funky coloredy ones And some animal muppet ones... I feel they are needed

...

but every years i do a boxer short/ sock chuck.

Been purchasing a 3 pack every now and again of Next boxers as they're quite comfy and good value for money imo - kinda trying to overhaul the wardrobe slowly but surely over the last year. Have about 20 pairs of jocks but about 12 of them are the Next ones - hopefully I'll replace the other 8 in the next month or two.

I don't buy them often enough, especially socks which seem to wear out quickly, although I ended up with some socks and boxers for christmas

I wouldn't mind buying some more new ones though, perhaps upgrade the boxers to something nicer. I usually just buy the Dunnes boxers and socks.
