    Well Christmas is approaching and I haven't a clue what to get my girlfriend. She's not at all the materialistic type so in addition to her big gift I want to give her something heartfelt and thought I'd tip my hat to the old days and make her a little mix tape/CD. The thing is that I don't really want the typical shmaltzy lovesong fare so am hoping to get some suggestions for a really beautiful mix of love songs by quality musicians that will stand the test of time. I've come up with a few thoughts myself but hope that others could add some suggestions.
    • Fistful of Love - Antony and the Johnsons
    • Into my Arms - Nick Cave
    • Eve, the Apple of My Eye - Bell XI
    • Love's a Game - The Magic Numbers
    • Dreaming of You - The Coral
    • Under Your Spell - Desire
    • Calgary - Bon Iver

    Anyways, I'd be very interested in hearing a few suggestions and it doesn't have to necessarily be similar type music to the above.
