Any pride I had is gone. I must take their comments as punishment! Living like a hermit now until I'm back at college! But its all good there were roughly 3 fights that night so that distacts attention away from me :D From what i can remember the place was destroyed. Tables upside down. Closest thing ive seen to a riot!

Dammit - cycling to Galway as part of a group for Crumlin Hospital, but need to raise another €300 and have just under 5 weeks to do so.

I didn't think this through, haven't a clue how I'm going to get this raised - I'll have to beg/borrow/steal

You're too kind! Not sure about the logistics of setting up online donations though, but thanks!

Any fundraising ideas though? I did a 5-a-side tournament about a month ago which worked well, but I'll need to do other things as well to meet the target!

Is it still socially acceptable to ask friends/neighbours etc. for donations in these recessionary/post-Christmas times?

Edit: Also realised I typed "bed/borrow/steal" above instead of "beg"... that's embarassing!

Eyre Square :) Assuming I actually make it there, haven't cycled anywhere near this distance before! It's with the UCD Science Soc, Fad and GinjaNinja did it last year, and I think Fad is doing it this year, not sure about GN.

Definitely, go door to door for a few days/nights and you could make a fair bit. If you don't make enough there's still tons of other ways to fund raise :)

Thanks! I asked for fundraising tips about 2 and half months ago in the Den and you responded with loads of tips, I haven't forgotten, it's just I thought the cycle was ages away. Then what with my Christmas exams, and Christmas itself, it seems the cycle is just around the corner after no time at all

Yeah, I've done a lot of fundraising for different things. Haven't done anything in a while actually.

Things like that tend to creep up on ya, but if you put your mind to it you'll get the money no problem, it's the actual starting it that's that hard part :p

I appear to have done something to my hand. I can barely make a fist cos it's so stiff and it kills every time I bend it. Going to have to rest it as much as possible today, 4 days straight at least of work from tomorrow :/

The first week of being at home was fun. This week, not so much.

Giving cats medicine is not fun. Ginger is already not my biggest fan for that traumatising vet visit this morning, now I have to try and get two syringes of painkillers and antibiotics down his throat. Spent the last hour trying to do it and all I got was several puncture wounds and a resentful cat. Giving him a break before I try again later. That cats going to hate me my the end of the week...

My dog was like that when he first went on heart tablets, we had to force his mouth open and shove them down his throat and make him swallow them. He's completely fine with taking them now, took him a few days but he'll now eat them straight out of your hand and if anyone drops any other tablet he tries to eat them too. He also happily takes his cod liver oil tablets too.

It sucks at first, but once she realises it's helping it might be a bit easier. Either that or my dog has copped that he takes a tablet and an hour is fed.

Can you place it inside a chunk of meat or something? Or would that alter the effectiveness..?

It's liquid so I don't think sticking it in meat will work, and I'm afraid he'll taste it in milk and refused to drink

Have to do that with my dog this week as well. He's actually very good with being poked and prodded by the vet and eventually with taking things, but the first few tries are horrible! We've had to hold him down, prise his mouth open and pour stuff into him but when the vet insists it has to be done there's nothing else you can do :(

Cats are so much better at getting away when you're trying to do anything. They're so wriggly!

Sooo yea, accidentally setting things on fire aint cool! I now have a HUGE hole in my pillow thanks to my straightner!

Cats are crazy awesome at getting away! Even with an injured paw Ginger managed to climb on the top of the shed wall and escape through some broken tiles! Thanks to some youtube videos on how to properly restrain an angry cat and my dad carrying out the restraining, we managed to get it into him without any more injuries.

Didn't get too much time to be happy about this though, I just found out my gran broke her hip, which is bad enough but apparently a lot of elderly people die within a year of getting a broken hip. Could just be conformational bias but it's still really worrying, and my gran is so frail anyway. She's my only grandparent left and we always get on really well. I know she's old and frail and has to die sometime, I just don't want it to be soon.

I was really looking forward to a party I was meant to be going to tonight. I better get better soon.

The credits for assassins creed revelations are ridiculously long. I was watching them for about 5 minutes, went and made myself a cup of tea and some toast, ingested them, returned, and I've been here a further thirteen minutes. Still nowhere near the end.

I'm frustrated with myself and intend on being less rubbish from 2012 onwards.

Yeah for some reason I'm going to wait until then to do anything about it.

What's most important is that since now it's in writing, I have to do it. Cos that's how it works.

I have a cupcake craving. I have some downstairs. Only problem is, my dog is also in the kitchen and will start barking the house down if I go down to the kitchen. I reallllllly want a cupcake :(
