aerlingus.com - can I book one way from UK to Irl in euro?

    Hi all,

Does anyone know of a way to buy a one way flight from the UK to Ireland on aerlingus.com and pay in euro? For my flight dates, it's cheaper to fly out using Ryanair and back using Aer Lingus. Looking at the UK-Irl leg as the second part of a return, it's quoted as EUR 24.99 plus EUR 6.00 admin fee. However, when I look at it as a one way journey, it switches to GPB 24.99 plus GBP 6.00 admin fee.

I know it could be that it's just cheaper as one leg of a return than as a standalone, but it seems more likely that the euro prices are cheaper, especially since the admin fee is also affected.

So is there any way I can get the AL website to quote me in euro for a one way flight from the UK?

I already tried clearing my cookies, logging into the AL website and telling it on the initial screen that I'm in Ireland. However, once I choose the one way UK-Irl flight, again it automatically only quotes in GBP.

(And yes, I know there's not much in the difference, but I'm broke.)

    Any suggestions would be great.
    Thanks.

I don't believe so - they normally charge in the currency of the departure point.

    Ok - thanks.

It was the first time I'd tried to book a one way journey from a non-euro country and I thought I might be missing something obvious. Especially since on the same page as they charged GBP 6.00 for admin, they had a statement mentioning an admin charge of EUR 6.00 or equivalent and the euro's definitely not at parity with sterling.

    Ah well.
