    Hi,

02 Corolla, new shape. It appears one of the bulbs has gone behind the controls for the heater/fan/air direction.

Can anyone tell me how to get at the bulbs to change them? Is it a case of removing the whole front of that area above the ashtray or is there an easier way?

Yes the whole front comes out, you pull off the 3 fan controls and behind each there's a screw, you need to open these, also need to remove the ashtray and casing that's around the cigarette lighter and gearstick, this panel comes out by removing the connecting wires going to the lighter. The bulbs are very small and easy to break, I'd advise covering the lower section with a cloth so that you don't drop them down the interior of the car.

This is pretty much it but with a US Automatic version
