    Hi Guys

    I have a Philips Philips LCD TV 42PFL8694H 42" Full HD 1080p digital TV

    I am new to all this and just deciding to set up a FTA Satellite dish etc, never have done this before, so have got most of the bits and pieces and just about to start

    The TV has MPEG1,MPEG2,MPEG4 AVC,
    DVB-T, DVB-C

    my question is do i need a set top box..... I already get the saorview channels on the TV. RTE1, RTE2, TV3, TG4, 3E, RTE News

    You will need a set top box, either a branded Freesat box, preferably a HD box, or a generic FTA satellite receiver, and away you go.
    You may need help to align the dish though.
