Sky Hd cost

Evening all,

He goes the story, we have 2 sky accounts in the house one for my dad in sitting room and one for me in the bedroom. I have the sky hd box.
My dad recently passed away and I rang sky to cancel his account (which they did). I added a extra mutli room card for this box, everything is now in my name.
I asked sky how much would it be to upgrade my dads old box to hd+ they quoted me €259, that's mad money! Told them I'm not paying that and he went to check for offers but none were available.
My question is, is there a way to get a sky hd box cheaper ?

Just wondering why you had 2 accounts? Surely you could have had one account and a multiroom sub? You can get Sky HD boxes on the like of ebay.

Because I wanted my own account, my dad wanted to keep the accounts separate.

I was looking on eBay but they still seem pricey and delivery costs are huge at the moment.

Keep looking. I recently got a HD box for €80 including delivery on ebay
