Is Sainte Etienne Premium Lager French or Belgian?

I know Saint-Étienne is a place in France but I saw a mention somewhere that the namesake lager is from Belgium. That seems odd.

Belgian. I've read it's a straight rebadge of Stella Artois.

But is Stella Artois still staying around?

    Cheers.

    BTW, apt name. :)

Yes. Sainte Etienne is supplied exclusively to Aldi. Aldi owns the name.
