Didn't get checking the league this morning but I got 68 pre bonus so expecting green arrows for the first time in a while. I've been hovering around 50th for far too long now so praying this'll help me start moving up again after going up to 28th in the Boards League at one stage and then falling away back down to the 50s.

Only negatives were Simpson, Vorm and having Brown on the bench. I'm not counting Silva because 90% of people have him at this stage so it doesn't really matter if he has a stinker.

I'm hoping that, because Newcastle lost, Ba will get max 1 bonus point whereas hopefully RvP will get 3 to justify my captain choice.

The other good news to me (and this is purely for FF reasons because I'm a Blackburn supporter and wish the lad the best) is that it was great to see Jones go off injured. I had my doubts bringing Evans in at the weekend but, if Jones misses a few weeks, it greatly increases his chances of continuing playing.

It should also see Evans gain a few prices rises given that people will now be transferring Jones out.

Hoping for something from Ade and VdV tonight. Stupidly put Walters as my first sub ahead of Brown so hopefully Ade plays.

How are people reacting to Aguero's double? I dropped him two weeks ago. Thank god it was to get Nani in. I think any bandwagoners will get caught out though, as with Balotelli and Dzeko not starting, I can't see Aguero getting many minutes in their next match.

Alot of these City lads have come from countries where they would be used to getting a Winter break so I can see Mancini treating them with kid gloves.

The strength in depth City have is ridiculous. Last night's team was:

    Hart
    Richards, Clichy, Kompany, Lescott
    Y.Toure, Barry, Nasri, Johnson,Silva
    Aguero

    They could easily play:

    Hart
    Zabaleta, K. Toure, Savic, Kolarov
De Jong, Hargreaves, Milner, Silva, Balotelli,
    Dzeko

Just one outfield player remains and still a team that would beat most PL sides.

Would have made boards top 100 for 1st time ever if Adam had scored that peno, had him and Suarez who would prob hav got the assist too.

Does anyone think Silva will get assist for citys second?i might email them about it....

Just saw it there. Definately no assist. The ball was cleared from the box and a Stoke player subsequently touched it before the goal was scored.

I wish I had flags in both my hands when I say...NO ASSIST! :D

Dropping like a stone down my leagues at the moment.

I've gone from 18th place in boards.ie league a couple of weeks ago to mid 70's now.

Gone from top of my money league to 60+ points behind. Played wildcard 2 days ago and had an utter disaster last night again.

Need a big game from Rooney next time out

Really begining to hate the game this year!

    Al Habsi on the bench.
Jones and Richards start, both teams keep a clean sheet and 1 point between them.
Moses on the bench and will probably get at least 2 bp.
Decided not to take a 4 point hit this week to get Nani in for Bale, now Bale probably won't play and I'll have the great Stephen Ward coming off the bench with 1 point.

It's almost time to give up i think!

Switched Al-Habsi for Vorm as a knee jerk at the last second!!! Still have 68 before bonuses with Ade to play! :D

Biggest error i made was not taking a 4 point hit to get nani in for mata. a lot of the lads i play against have him, some as captain. Mata has flattered to decieve in FF terms. Chelsea dont give him enough of the ball imo when you compare how city use silva.

Only 42 points, have mata, bale and ade to play but wouldnt be too hopeful of much. could really do with a humdinger 3-3 or something

Got 67 this week pre bonus and have Bale and Sturridge to play.

Team is worth 110.3 now so the bandwagons have paid off!

Any news on Bale, will be a sub tonight?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,711 ✭✭✭keano_afc

2 guys ahead of me both have Sturridge and Bale tonight so I'd love a drab 0-0. Cant see it though, hopefully Bale is not fit to start.

    s.

Bought Aguero for this gameweek and made him captain, have sold him again already this morning and bought RVP back in again. Sold him before city game.

How many points would get you into the top 100 in the boards league? I didn't enter it

You'd be in the Top 70 with that.

    Where'd I get with 1,039?

Right then, tricky decisions to be made here:
    FF.20111221.jpg

Rooney is going up tonight and I could sub Aguero for him, not losing any money at all. Rooney is at home to Wigan and Aguero is away to West Brom.

or....I could shore up my defence and move Caulker in for Monk and maybe bring in Assou Ekotto for Simpson.

I'm bringing in Agbon for Ba next week before he feks off to the ACON.

    Hmmm...What do yez think?

EDIT: By the looks of it, people are getting rid of Adebayor for Rooney....mostly.
Madness with the double game week coming up imo (even if I don't already have him although it may change my plans for Agbon :) )

I havent seen Villa's fixtures but I'd rethink that one. Villa really are awful under McLeish, I had Agbon at the start of the season and he done well for me, but he hasnt really done anything for the last couple of months.

i'd agree with that. I had him too and he was a let down. Not worht the punt. gte a cheaper option and put the money elsewhere

EDIT - just checked and Agbon is actually on more points than sturridge for less money and sturridge has been getting massive praise.

I'm in the exact same boat as you. 2 weeks ago i was gonna take the 4 point hit for nani in for mata. Stuck with mata and it's costing me big time.

I was thinking of bringing him in next week to be put on the bench for the Chelsea match and then coming into the 11 for Swansea etc.
Looking at his points haul for the last few games, I think you may be right in warning me off, cheers!

    Maybe Morison for Norwich instead...hmmm

    Stoke City (A)
    Chelsea (A)
    Swansea (H)
    Everton (H)
    Wolves (A)
    QPR (H)

I wish they'd just hurry on with the bonus points at this stage.

I've gone up to 24,721st place overall. It's the highest that I've been in nearly 2 years. Hope I don't get too dizzy up there and I can keep on scoring well.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,267 ✭✭✭✭manual_man

Does anyone know the site that predicts the bonus points

Look again at sturridge since he has been playing consistently and used in the role he is currently playing.
