Gmail and Facebook no longer working on my iPhone

Can anyone help me please? It is loading up gmail for me and telling me at the top of the page that I have 12 new messages but below is a blank page with the little 'loading' icon which just keeps loading, until it times itself out. Similarity, my Facebook loads so far but I cannot get into my profile-again,blank page…

Can anyone help me please? It is loading up gmail for me and telling me at the top of the page that I have 12 new messages but below is a blank page with the little 'loading' icon which just keeps loading, until it times itself out.
Similarity, my Facebook loads so far but I cannot get into my profile-again,blank page below top part of Facebook.
It was working find yesterday and I can get into every other site bar gmail and Facebook today. I have an iPhone 4g.
Any help would be appreciated.
