Volunteer for stuff in the college, there is usually decent money to be made during student elections and the like.

Do grinds for leaving cert students in one or two subjects you feel comfortable doing. Could give you 30-60 euro in extra cash a week

Is this it like? The poor sod looks for a bit of advice so he can pay for xmas pressies and you people come up with drugs/prostitution & gambling  No wonder the counrty is in the state it is in.

Being serious for a second, as much as most people don't like to hear it-drug dealing and prostitution are both ways to make relatively large sums of money with relatively little effort. Illegal yes but financially viable *. Gambling is a bit harder as games like poker have a steep learning curve while making money from blackjack means learning to count cards, not impossible to do but you need to be mega smart.

If these less savoury options don't tickle your fancy have you tried chugging? Very few people are anyway good at it but you can make a killing if you are. Giving grinds to Leaving Cert and other college students is one I did a few times. There's also some way of making money from writing articles online but the pay is never great. You could try selling anything you no longer need on ebay as well, you'd be suprised what you can get for some old junk.

*I know prostitution isn't actually illegal.

Volunteering is for suckers. Did you know that volunteers don't even get paid for the stuff they do?

source products that you can buy in bulk and sell individually on ebay at a profit, example import zippo lighters. like 10 or 20 at a time, not a container load

anything you get in bulk from china will be fake and ****e

    1. Buy yourself a bolt croppers.
    2. Steal students bicycles.
    3. Sell students bicycles.
    4. Enjoy the profit.

TBF, I'm suprised gambling was mentioned. Coke & hookers always get a look in.

I moved home and worked summers to pay for what I could , had two jobs at the same time mostly! Generally in a hotel, nightclub and factory. Gruelling work at 7am 6 days a week in a freezer is not fun when you have another job to look forward to.

Played poker too which helped me a good bit during the year. Was lucky enough to get a grant and it is so much tougher for those that don't.

If you're in any way good at writing, pimp yourself out on sites like Elance, GetAFreelancer and a gazillion other similar sites. There's usually people there looking for people to write content for their websites.
