Roaming with Orange (UK)

I have an Orange uk phone that when I looked online, I thought it should work automatically here (in Ireland) as long as I change provider in phone settings. I tried all possible providers but it says Emergency Calls Only with all of them (even though I have full bars). I'm here for 3 weeks so I'd like to get it working…
