how would you connect one of theses to the internet , iv only got a moble broadband so if i got this http://www1.meteor.ie/mobilebroadband/sims/ would this work?? or am i totally on the wrong path

nice one, ordered one. Wanted a tablet solely for reading comics, if this does the trick I'm laughing, if not, it won't be hard to sell it on for what I paid for it. Total was 47 euro.

The spec on this suggests two USB ports. Does anyone know if a dongle will work with this for internet access along these lines here?

From what I've read, some 3g dongles will work with them after you've installed a custom ROM. E.g. Uberoid.
The list of dongles I found is Huawei E220/E230/E1550/E1552/E1553/E156G/E160X/E169G/E1750/E1762.
I've seen posts by a few people having trouble getting them working, and by other people who had no problems at all.
The easiest way out of it and something that would definitely work would be this.

I have one of these - they are OK. once rooted with modroid (faster than uberoid imo) it's good for watching movies. browsing is a bit of a pain with the resistive screen. 2 hour battery life sucks. also can only be charged from plug, not usb.

If you have a 3g dongle then the easiest solution is probably to get a 3g wireless router something like this, that way you can use all your internet devices on the one connection, just check that the router you get is compatible with your dongle.

If you don't mind waiting they are available much, much cheaper from the far east.

Bought one at the weekend when I saw the OP and got an email yesterday to say it has been dispatched, expect delivery in 10-40!!! days! Could be a long wait but will post when it arrives. Don't expect any technical details from me though!! For €47 it has to be worth getting one

Yes! Me too. I thought mine was well on the way by now. Anyway what do you think the chances of me getting two are? By the way, when I ordered it I asked them to declare it a low value like €19.99 and declare it as a digital picture frame to ease its passage through customs! (Probably the main thing I'll use it for!)

I bought one of these very similar same specs (€55 WM 8650) from Focalprice recently (had no customs bother either) and found it ok when I finally got an Uberoid Rom to work on it. A tedious process and I had worked through approximately 30 roms before getting one that worked good. Fine as a web browser and ebook reader. Battery life is poor approx 1.5 to 2 hours use. This is obvious as it just uses a typical phone type 1400mah battery to illuminate a 7"screen so it cannot last too long. I didnt get round to trying my 3g dongle in it when the disaster struck...I was fitting a screen protector on it and was probably too aggressive squeezing bubbles from the screen when it smashed and is now completely broke. Hence the reason I am ordering a replacement from Buyincoins. Looking forward to it though but it probably wont arrive before Xmas now.

I got this email response from them:

It is the updating system that caused the wrong information.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

It takes 14-21 working days to arrive. Sometimes it will be 5-10 days delay because of customs and flights as we noted in the description. Please don't worry. Air mail is very safe.

I ordered some 7 inch screen protectors the day after I ordered this, also from China. The screen protectors arrived today, so maybe it'll get here by Christmas after all.

Choose "Track my order" on the buyincoins website and put in your email and order number.
You'll find your parcel tracking number there. Then go here and put in that tracking number.
I think once the parcel reaches Ireland you'll be able to use that tracking number on the an post website for local tracking info, but I'm not 100% sure on that.

I ordered a DVB-T dongle from them which was shipped on 4th December and I received it yesterday.

My tablet was shipped on 5th December so I'm still pretty hopeful of receiving it next week.

I'd expect it to arrive the second week in January or so anyway, so not terribly disappointed; just the tracking part leaves a lot to be desired.

Came home from work a half day today - get home and have a phone call from woman on reception saying there was a parcel there for me.... I get the feeling if I head back in, all it will be is a DVB-T dongle I ordered the same day as the tablet (4th December).
