BTW, the box in in perfect shape, could it be that it was so badly damaged that they replace it?
    As Fnz said above:

Mine arrived yesterday too. Read on another thread that the 'blemished box' claim is nonsense. Just looking for an excuse to move a lot of stock without devaluing the product, or something.

Also, the 600 and 650 both have refresh models available now. The ones on offer here are the old versions according to their model number.

Mine arrived.. and was perfect too!

    Fantastic value at €26.

Mine arrived today - bought as a prezzy - ripped the unblemished box opening it to check it was all there. ::rolleyes:

    Sorry Ma....

600 arrived but not the 650. Box on the 600 is perfect, not a scratch on it.

Arrived today, not a mark on the box.

Any one else having problems installing the software? Mine looks like it's installing but then just disappears of the screen as the progress bar gets over to the ned. only an icon file and couple of .dll files in the program files folder afterwards... tried restarting but same thing.

I am running windows 64 bit ultimate. (had to use internet explorer 32bit to load the page, site very picky about browsers)

EDIT: Got it working from the http://members.harmonyremote.com/EasyZapper/New/Main.asp as opposed to the logitech/myharmony site..... Just in case anybody else is having problems!

Mine arrived today - big rip on the box.

    Nahhhhhh. Twas perfect. :D

I was planning on getting one before but didn't fancy shelling out big bucks for the Harmony one. The 600 is perfect for my needs as I haven't got a massive setup. I even got it to work with my Mac mini that has been ignoring the factory remote. It also has a device profile to work Plex on the mac which is great because the keyboard/mouse controls suck.

Also beats my TV remote hands down ans it only has a source button and you have to cycle through half a dozen unused inputs - the Harmony changes straight to the device to use.

One of the best BA's so far. Thanks Basq!

yeah fairly easy to set up once I got past the software problem!

Using mine to control my LG LD450 TV, my Technisat HDFS sat and my Iomega HD media player....

A remote to control all my bargain alert purchases, found via bargain alerts which I wouldn't have needed without Bargain alerts :-D

Writing this on my HP touchpad!

    (Have the ZTE blade too!)

Does anybody else impulse buy this much on bargain alerts!?

This is very good. Although i just cant get a return button customised to toggle to the dvd usb port. The default is to play a dvd disc but if you have the usb stick in it you have to press return for it to toggleto the usb. On The philips dvd its the return button but ive tried to set it to several substitute buttons on the logitech with no luck. Any ideas!?.

Edit: got it, whatever buttons i was choosing was already taken but wasnt telling me that. I just had to delete an obsolete button to free the function and use that for the return button!.

My 600 arrived today and I got a chance to muck about with it this evening. As someone else mentioned, the downloaded software gives alot more options when comapred to the myharmony site. I've set all the delays to 100ms and this has speeded things up noticeably with no issues so far. Only minor gripe is that I can't put macros in with the other favourites that I setup (have them in 'Commands') - if anyone has a way around this I loved to hear it.

Cheers OP for a really good bargain.

I still haven't unboxed half the stuff I buy due to BA's!

    :D

OK I exaggerate, but off the top of my head the BA's I have include 2 Dell desktops, Samsung netbook, a Technosonic & a Sony TV, Sony Bluray player, HP Touchpad, Sennheiser wireless headphones, LG Optimus smartphone, 4 Panasonic dect phones, Phillips coffee machine, D-Link NAS drive, Oral B electric toothbrush, DVD's, sweatshirts, Logitech surround sound speakers and, and, and....

    Think I got a dud :(

Each time I connect it to my laptop Windows 7 keeps nagging "Usb device not recognized". Will try another usb cable just in case.

I tried some solutions online like uninstalling the software, rebooting, running CCleaner with the registry clean, then reinstalling and only then connecting the remote. Still no joy.

I was trying to get it to work for 3 hours last night and I'm very technical.
I'll give it one more night to try getting it working, before it goes back.

    These must be refurbished/returns.

hrm.. package arrived today. Ordered 2, only got 1...

    /edit

Just off phone to them there (the irish eCommerce number told me to ring the uk one @ +44 (0)203 024 81 60). Nice guy there said they've actually had a few instances of this recently - 3 in the last 2 days. Opened an incident, gave me a ref, and hope to have to sorted before the end of the day, or tomorrow.

I missed out on this, but for anyone else buying from Logitech, if you go to register a product they'll apparently send you a 20% off voucher.

I did it yesterday in an attempt to get access to that VIP section and I didn't have to use a serial number or anything for the mouse I registered. I just selected it from a drop-down list. So even if you don't have any Logitech products it could presumably still be done.

Didn't get any VIP access though :(

Set up the 650 in less than 10 minutes and it worked with everything without any tinkering! (Sony Bravia, UPC box, WDTV Live, Squeezebox Boom, Xbox 360)

    Thanks Stimpson,

it was a dodgy usb cable that came with it.
As soon as I tried a similar cable from my HTC Desire HD phone, it worked straight away.

UPS mail just now - the missing harmony has been dispatched. Decent enough turn around, though still slightly annoying this close to christmas

Thanks for bumping the thread, I thought I'd missed out. My Sky remote has been acting up since this thread expired :)

Seems to be 4% back with Fatcheese too.

Nice one. Was sorry that I missed out on this.

Just ordered now. Seems that they must have found a few more 'blemished boxes' :D They must be very careless in the stockroom ;)
