I'm currently looking at bushnell scopes and two of them i am looking at are the banner 6-18x50 and the trophy 6-18x40.

Whats the main difference between the two of these?
The trophy is more expensive but the banner has a bigger objective lens?

Anyone use any of them and which one should i go for?
For hunting during the day and at night

I have used both scopes and don't find that much of a difference.

The bigger Objective will allow more light through for a clearer display and better low light viewing. The Banner has the Dusk to Dawn lens coating for better low light viewing

I have the 6-18x50 Banner on my Kidd/Ruger 10/22 and can't fault it in any way.

Thats what i presumed with the bigger objective, but then the trophy is more expensive and seems to be above the banner on the bushnell site.

Tis only for the hmr and i dno would a 50mm objective be very big on it.

Have a banner 6-18X50 on the swift, for lamping foxes it does the job but I would trade up to an S&B or something similar if I had the money! I found it great tho when I used to have it on a .22 great for rabbits or practicing! For a hmr it would be plenty good!

I also have the Banner 6-18x50 i find it very good indeed.
But then i haven't tried anything any better so i don't know how much more money you would have to spend to achieve a noticeable difference.
