    Hi All.
    This is a strange one.
I bought a FTA kit in Aldi a while ago to replace my UPC and it's been doin the business for me perfectly as I dont watch a whole lot of TV.
Last weekend I got a set of remote control candles for the living room and I noticed that sometimes pressing the sat remote would make the candles come on and off.
Whats happenned now it that my sat remote won't work
Tried batteries etc and nothing. The small remote for the candles however can perform some tasks on the sat reciever... but only one or 2 functions.
Anyone ever come across anything like this before

    Regards

    HB

The problem with buying cheap satellite receivers and other products from china is they use remote frequencies similar to other products.

Today I had a similar problem with a fta box sold in harvey normans, the remote control was also changing channels on a brand new lg branded tv...

Best thing for you to try is remove the candles from the room and see if your remote works again.

Have already tried removing the candles. Still no joy.
Kinda confusing. Would understand the candle remote workin the sat box but not why the sat remote does absolutely nothing.... odd
