    Yea they do the trick although you lose a bit of the high end. You can still hear the tunes fairly well though. You don't have that buzzing in your ears after a night out with them and your mates won't even notice them in your ears. I'd recommend them if your ears are bothering you or you want to protect them!

    I use these both on the floor and mixing: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Alpine-Music-Safe-Filter-Plugs/dp/B000VO8PR0

    They come with three different tips so you can adjust the attenuation. Dead handy if you want protection but take into account some clubs are louder than others. Can still hear perfectly with them in.

    However as regards seeing them, they are obvious. All plugs are. Unless you have long enough hair. Apparently by law you can't make a see through ear plug.
