Depends on the store but I've seen them sell dvd players, electrical heaters and the like so they have sold electrical stuff. Don't think I've seen tvs up to now though.

Most tv's sold in Supermarkets are cheap brands, what make is it? Personally I would never buy a tv in a supermarket I would pay a lil more in a locally run tv shop where you will have full support if you ever have a problem.

€400 for a 42 tv sounds way too cheap for it to be negood

Seen plenty of 42" TVs in UK for less than what €400 would convert into.

TVs are getting as cheap as chips these days.

but as you say, its going to be a muck brand, and most of these are usually ropey in terms of picture and sound quality, have bad user interfaces/menu's, and have suspect reliablility.

I've seen Hannspree sets in my local Supervalu (Ballybofey). They had 28in, 32in and 42in. The 42in were €399. I think the 28in were €249 or €259. I can't be 100% sure of the model but think it was the SJxxDMBB.
