Could be, try this site, it's good but the price is online ordering only you won't get the same price when ringing.

Any idea who provides the best value for money in relation to kerosene home heating oil in the Galway city/county area?

I bought heating oil from these guys last april.

    www.unitedwesave.ie

They were cheaper than any other quote i received.
They operate by negotiating a bulk discount from suppliers.
I paid upon delivery and i assume the supplier paid a commission to the intermediary.
Anyway, i was happy with the price i got.

The link above is only a guide.

I'd call about and haggle for a price.
Without trying to sound like a smart arse do a little bit of work yourself and you are bound to get a better deal:)

Got a fill today (1000ltrs Kero)

Texoil gave the best price after some haggling @81.5c/ltr, but as usual all companies are giving similar prices, around the 82c/ltr mark.

Thank you. I rang a few places and they are all in line with those prices was hoping someone might have found a cheaper one. Thanks for your help.

Top/Tedcastles in Lough Atalia Road in Galway charged me 87cent a litre a couple of weeks back . . . and that was for an order of 500 litres. Had used Geoghegan Oil before they were taken over and found them okay pricewise but their new owners are a rip off. Won't be using them again. People I know got lesser amounts of oil around the same time for 82cent a litre.

Got 1000 litres from Martin Naughton yesterday for 84.5 cents per litre.
It brings a tear to my eye when i read the Kerosene prices on this previous post from two years ago....:(
