Surely if the euro collapses the rules will be thrown out the window

If it ever happened Euro in the bank will probably just be converted to whatever currency we move to, just like the euro changeover.

Moneydoctor, tell Deirdre to shut up.

edit: Ah ffs Joe, get a grrriiiiippp would ya and stop talking stupid bollox. I'd say you'll take a long time spending your money in the bank.

    Dirty...

Brian Lenihan must be turning in his grave. I honestly think this topic is dangerous.

Also, the Czech Crown is very strong at the moment. ;)

I can't believe this show is continuing with this topic after the retardation during and fall out after the last show on the bank guarantee. There's load of oul Marys and Micks around the country thinking they are now better off taking their money out of the bank and spending it on ****e.

What are they going to do for their retirement, trade all the rubbish they wasted their money on in order to get rid of it, what is Duffy advocating, return to the barter system ? Nancy is now going to go off and buy art.

And the shocking thing is that all the stupid comments and questions are coming from Duffy.

Ah poor Nancy and everyone else... Can't imagine everyone going out and buying Art or paintings... Unless it's all going back to auctioning his paintings again!

Is good afternoon to you there?

Exactly what the country needs, a run on the banks. Everyone with a few bob and no ability to think for themselves will try to open up an account with a Danish bank.

Very irresponsible broadcast, IMO. The listenership of liveline IN GENERAL seem to me to be quite gullible. Probably shouldn't be putting ideas in their heads that will actually create a problem...
