Do you abuse celebrities on Twitter?

Was reading a Re-Tweet from John Hartson (footballer) who was sent this, this morning.

"I hear the guys in the morgue have had you're m8 hanging from a meat hook using him as a human punchbag #hopeso"

Same guy also sent a message to Robbie Savage who, by the fact he hasn't said anything this morning, may not have seen it yet

"you're mate will be getting his insides sucked out of his arse about now by the morgue monsters #stiffasaboard #blue"

It appears to be in reference to Gary Speed, but regardless of who its about, it's a pretty sick thing to think/say. Do you log on to twitter to send abuse to anyone let alone a celebrity you don't know?

Nope. I don't believe in following or viewing celebrity twitter pages, as I disagree with recognising so-called "fame" as something worthy of appreciation.

Absolutely disgusting trolling through, completely unwarranted. As pointed out, someone obviously enjoys getting notoriety out of this while really they should be ignored by the person abused and the rest of society.

Never bothered with twitter, it seems even more inane than facebook. I hate the way the media drool over it, really, really annoys me to hear them bleat on about how great and world changing twitter is in the media circles.

Usually I'd view re-tweeting abuse as a form of attention seeking from the re-tweeter, but having read those messages sent to Hartson and Savage, the people who sent them deserve the abuse that is going to reign down upon them.

I've sent Rio Ferdiannd a few pieces of my mind, mainly because I dont like him but it wouldnt be anything as bad or as harsh as the above though.

I wanted to follow an Irish comedian to see if he'd mention any up coming gigs etc., and what I found on his profile was a tirade of abuse. Worst thing was, he was actually REPLYING to them. Talk about feeding the troll. He's a sound, down to earth guy. The cúnts that fire him abuse are just begrudger's looking to get a rise out of him. I can understand how comments can be hurtful, but ignoring someone is the best tactic of getting rid of them. No doubt they'll move onto someone else to fire abuse at, like the sad cúnts they are.
