did everyone winter prep their car this weekend?

My car is going for paint in the next 2-3weeks, and it's currentl primer so I don't feel the need.

I did get lowering springs for the front though, rather than coilovers. I've nicely adjusted to being able to go over speed bumps at more than 4 mph, lol.

Car was €17k and the remap should be €300 or thereabouts.

In fairness while I appreciate that it is is not the cheapest price I could have got for a similar year I was trading in a fairly high value vehicle against the golf so had limited options and room for negotiation! It is very low mileage and immaculate all round model so I'm happy out!

That black Toledo is a savage looking car. Fair play to the owner the way he modded it. Its just perfect and not ott.

I was walking when I spotted your car but I had just parked a green Fabia RS by the Quinn (Liberty Mutual) building.

I have waited nearly 6 weeks for some good weather to do some winter prep on my car. Wash, clay, polish, wax and all the usual bits of trim. Then down to the sea for some nice pictures!

Volvo C30 with a shedload of extras, but fairly run of the mill 1.8 125bhp petrol engine unfortunately.

Haha, I'll confess I was torn between the gorgeous scenery and my car!

Tell me about it, spent months looking for a T5 in Ireland but to no avail. Considered importing but the higher residuals on Petrols in UK and 32% VRT put me off. I am very happy though after a year of ownership, but I'm feeling the itch already.. this thread certainly does not help!

    The scenery looks like Sligo?
Also the car looks familiar from the car park at work but I don't know who owns it

The scenery is Sligo! If it is a big multinational with a lovely grey S3 that parks near me..

PS. Passed you in the corridor yesterday, think your first name begins with a D..

That's the company alright, "A promise for Life" :D

The S3 isn't mine but it does belong to a guy whose name begins with a D.

My name is Brian and I'm on the evening shift, I presume you're nights? My car is the 320d M-Sport estate with xenons and leather sport seats. Since I got it I put in cup holders and installed an aux input to the stereo. See if you recognise this:
