Bit of a strange living situation I have at the moment, but basically I can't a signal when I run the cables for the 2 dish inputs on the sky+ plus box of this thing...

    http://www.powercity.ie/imageicons.php?pcode=051207

It came with a cable lead just like the one of the ones that runs from the sky box to the lnb so it makes into like one lead.. But it dosent get a signal for some reason & they all seem to be connected securley.

It works fine when disconnected & connected back to its original form but I need something to extened the leads as I'm moving out of the main house & moving into a extention beside it & want to bring the sky with me.

I suppose I could pay someone to move the dish but I thaught this would have worked & been alot cheaper than paying someone. Anbody have any suggestions?

If you are trying to put both the Sky+ dish cables through this one "DTT & SAT COMBINER" box, that won't work. You will need to run two cables all the way to the new location of the box if you want to keep full Sky+ functionality.

How long are the extension cables you are planning to use?

yes just get 2 sat cable connectors F81 BARREL CONNECTORS, and you will need 4 f connectors., look here

As GBC says two barrel and and 4 F connectors.

I am not sure but as far as I know an LNB on a dish needs a small voltage to work and it appears to me that that Power City combiner does not have a power pass on the sat feed. If so, that is why it wont work, LNB not getting power.

That 'thing' is for combining (or separating) satellite & terrestrial signals on 1 cable. It won't combine or separate 2 sets of sat. signals. There is such a thing, a stacker/destacker combo, but extending both cables would be a lot cheaper & far less potential for problems.

Not true, it wouldn't be much of a satellite/terrestrial combiner if it didn't pass DC to the lnb.
It clearly says 'power pass' on it & the red arrow indicates this anyway afaik.
