Could you walk from Athlone IT to Garrycastle?

I was thinking of doing an evening fas course and was wondering is it possible to walk safely from Athlone IT ( where the bus stops) to the Fas Training centre in Garrycastle? Is it a long walk? How long would it take approximately?

Five minute walk but watch yourself there is an awkward bridge there

I think Bus Eireann do go out to Garrycastle on some services IIRC

It's about a 10 min walk. I used to do this walk when I was in FAS.
