Ahh the poor kid was probably sick for the last few weeks and her parents promised her she could still go trick or treating when she got better.

Maybe she was sick or in hospital and was promised by her parents as another poster suggested. This is the only reason that makes any sense to me. Although I would have thought the parents accompanying her would have explained the situation to anyone answering their doors. Or perhaps just brought her around to family/friends houses as they'd be in the know and understanding. Bit weird tbh. What did you do OP?

Did you give her any sweets?

Was probably stocking up for Christmas

Exactly.. a nice idea but not everyone is going to have 'treats' to hand on a normal Saturday afternoon.. a little awkward if you'd nothing for her.. specially with her parents looking on :o

she wasnt sick, because she called to my house twice on halloween, once in the morning and once in the evening, i know the girl from around so she was not sick on halloween

For serial? Well then the parents are using their child to beg. Think about it, if it's not Halloween, people aren't expecting trick or treaters, therefore would have no sweets/rubbish stocked up. What might you give in that situation? Money.

Alternative is they're too cheap to buy the child sweets, or child threw a temper tantrum and insisted on dressing up and going trick or treating. Either way, weirdos.

wow, those parents are weirdos. I'm sure plenty of kids would like to go trick or treating every day after Halloween, but their parents explain to them that if it's not Halloween it's just intimidation in exchange for sweets....

They're prob too cheap to buy her sweets like regular parents.
