I think Johnny Depp is a dick and not half as talented as everyone seems to be making him out to be. He's been in a few Tim Burton movies - so what?

Best character actor? No way, I think what Robert Downey Jr did in the film about Charlie Chaplin far outweighs anything Depp has ever done.

Worst of all he believes his own hype now and somehow thinks he is above the average LA crap by living in France - that just makes you even more pretentious.

His comment to Ed Byrne (I don't really like Ed Byrne) on Graham Norton the last week was the final nail in his coffin as far as I'm concerned.

I disliked him long before this because of his 'I'm above Hollywood' attitude but that was the icing on the cake. And with his very repetitive Pirates of the Caribbean performances he is proving he is Hollywood through and through.

I think he came across as alright on that show actually.

However, I completely agree with you about how overrated he is as an actor. I don't get his appeal at all.
The whole moving away from Hollywood to France thing and then he moves back because the taxes are too high and makes millions on a series of popcorn films just smacks of a certain hypocrisy on what he supposedly stands for to me.

I know your joking but the fact is grammar bullies are the type of people who are causing people not to care about grammar. I have met so many people who were abrasive when I asked them simple questions about improving my grammar. I stopped asking long ago. If people ask me science questions I dont constantly berate them If they have the wrong idea about things.

I certainly wont party when an old woman dies but I really think her own argonance actually got in the way of dealing with the situation in the north in a sensible way. She made some very stupid mistakes in her time that resulted in escalation.

Bullsh1t. It's people who go on about how great she was that are often the ones being "fashionable" in an attention-seeking, going-against-the-grain sense. I don't mean you, to be fair - you're actually backing yourself up.
That said, people who say they'll party when she dies are carrying on like children. And if she was a man, she wouldn't get half as much abuse.

But while a small few of her economic policies weren't bad and had the greater good at their heart, she was too compassionless and she was friends with an extremely evil dictator.

I think students should have to pay fees- and I am a student! It'll stop them doing stupid meaningless courses that are of no benefit to anyone! And the money saved should be put into sicence and technology because these areas create more jobs than a stupid degree in english!
