Trying to understand meter reading so I can give to electricity provider

HI all,

Can anyone tell me if the attached is a meter reading?
Seems odd that there is only 3 numbers. I have just moved in and the old meter had a ling line of numbers.

Ps, please don't kill me if the picture comes out huge! It happened to me before and I don't know how to shrink them if it does.

So does that mean that only 382 units of electricity have been used?

Yep - If its an old house - it could be a new meter.

If the previous reading was 99900 as an example, then the units now used are 482, because the meter counted 100 units, then went back to 00000.

But 382 is still the reading you give to the provider.

Looks looked the meter was installed in 1992 and it was overhauled then.

Oh92 sticker on meter.

Probably been round the clock at this stage.
