I have a lidl 75cm dish with lnb and when it rains, particularily a mist the reception goes blotchy.

I've read that this can be a problem with the lidl system.

I was thinking of upgrading the dish and lnb but now i'm wondering if an Lnb upgrade alone would solve this or is it the combination of both?

what is a middle of the road quality of lnb that would attach to my existing dish?

if i need to replace both could anyone recommend a middle of the road combination of dish and lnb. I was thinking of a triax 80cm dish supplied w/out lnb and titanium lnb but not sure from website i saw them on if lnb fits into arm on end of dish, are they normally compatible?

    thanks

Inverto Black Ultra (Quad) - you could get a single or a dual depending on what you are using now. If it doesn't help use it with your new dish...

Which satellite are you trying to receive, 28 east? What part of the country are you in?

It's alignment. LNB type is irrelevant unless it's broken. A 75cm is OK for UK TV unless in Donegal or SW Kerry/Cork or west edge of Mayo. If you are wanting mainland Europe TV, the 75cm can be a little small for some channels and too small for all channels on some satellites.

yes trying to receive astra 28.2 with the usual bbc1, bbc2 etc. i'm living in the south east. the dish is located on the ground.

could a dish be aligned in such a way that the signal is grand when it's fine and poor when it rains/mists?

Get your dish alligned correctly and if the dish is too small get a bigger one.
