I am using a Fortec Star (FS-400V2) through a legacy Sky dish.
Has worked perfectly for 2 years.
Over the last couple of days signal intensity/quality has fluctuated from a low of 4%/2% to a high, at the moment, of 45%/5%. At these numbers no channels are detectable. Is there a likely source for this problem (there is no evidence the the dish has been moved).

Don't know of anything receiver specific, but generally speaking you should first check cables & connections, looking particularly for water ingress.

A photo of your dish may help if it's accessible.

Thanks for replies. From what little i know I'm leaning towards trying a new LNB. Have attached images of dish and lnb for what its worth. Both rust and trees are probably out as this problem manifested itself over a period of 24-36 hours. Prior to that no problem.

    regards Pat

Your 'F' plug isn't weatherproofed and it's badly fitted (loose braid hanging out). The cable is probably full of water. I recommend you replace it and fit the plugs correctly.
