Some people find Zoo's unnatural and cruel though, so he best check that out first.

I thought it would be nice to take a girl for a walk down dun laoghaire pier one dark winter evening, on our second date. I was confused when she didn't want to go and became kinda closed up. Fear of being murdered apparently. Something to consider with relative strangers I guess.

Abra for a curry chip and then drop the hand in an alleway. Dead romantic.

Take her to a graveyard wearing a gimp mask and nipple top.

Keep calling her by a name that isn't hers and when she corrects you about the 3rd time get angry and say 'stop playing with my head Penelope - I know it's you'.

Bring her to Shelbourne park dogs for the night.

Nearly always a good night at the dogs.

daytime dates are good, depending on the weather obviously. after spending some time together, suggest to go for a drink afterwards. is she stays for a few you're golden.

Can never understand anyone suggesting the cinema as a first date, you're supposed to sit there in silence while watching the film. Would much rather go or do something that involves interaction with the pair of ye and you can have a decent chat to find out more about each other to see if ye are compatible as a possible couple.

Depends, either he can have curry on his fingers when... Yano. Or he can be eating his curry with the smell of....

Yeah, either way isn't much of a winner.

Dinner is my own favourite first date (and I'm very clear about where/what I won't eat). Or a nice walk/a trip to the zoo. You could always just ask beforehand what she thinks about zoos OP. It's not supposed to be a mystery date or anything.

What about the Viking Splash thing if you're in Dublin? That yoke is great fun.

First couple of dates I brought my GF on:

Smithfield on Ice - I spent the date on my ass or gripping the fence for dear life while she glided around like a swan. All the teen age girls thought I looked like Micheal Buble (I don't but this has happened more than once)

Palace on Fleet St. - Trad music session upstairs, some ould wan that sat at our table robbed a fifty from her bag (well we're pretty sure of it)

Chinese - A Chinese I used to go to regularly on Parnel St. great fun sampling real Oriental food. No drama this time!

Wax Museum - Were wandering about town and got two discount tickets of people dressed up on the street. All going well until we got to Santa's Grotto. Cue Santa moving and saying hello and me busting a move and almost swinging for him! Thought he was just a wax model and not some guy dressed up. I can be a bit twitchy when relaxed/distracted.

First they came for the socialists...

Love dinner and drinks for a first date-chance to properly chat and get to know eachother.

Ice skating then a wander around the Christmas market at the docklands is good this time of year too (well next month). Possibly a stroll around phoenix park to see reindeer if the weathers ok.

Fish and chips and a walk on the pier in Howth during the day then a few drinks and a bit of music in the Bloody Stream after.

    A comedy gig.

Whatever you do, don't forget to show her how smart you are by sniggering when she talks about things she likes and nitpicking her grammar. Then she'll be all over you. >_>

Or else, I dunno, a swing-dance class or something?

Spank her bare arse with a table tennis racket while wearing a gimp mask and having rubbed bovril into your arsecheeks
