Selling a jeep - what price?

I'm selling my landcruiser and have spent the last hour trying to set a price by looking at other ads. I'm just confused now! There are ones being sold privately for 9 to 9.5k and ones being sold by garages for up to 15k. These are ones that are the same as mine with similar mileage. What's confusing me is the VAT thing,…

I'm selling my landcruiser and have spent the last hour trying to set a price by looking at other ads. I'm just confused now!

There are ones being sold privately for 9 to 9.5k and ones being sold by garages for up to 15k. These are ones that are the same as mine with similar mileage.

What's confusing me is the VAT thing, none of the ads on donedeal mention it so I presume that theyre private sellers. I'm VAT registered and have to charge VAT but is this making it very expensive? Or will VAT registered buyers only buy one with a VAT receipt available?

Hope I'm making sense with this, apologies if not.
