Super Pool, can't wait for MOTD tonight. Missed the match because of work. Glad to see Adam had another good game. 2 goals and 5 assists so far this season, nice... I think John Henry should give Kenny a really small budget next summer, the players who we've got in for lower fees have really outshone our big budget buys.

I thought neville comments towards luiz was hilarious , sometimes he runs about like hes being controlled by a ten year old on playstation , made my day :pac::pac:

Villa Boas didn't find them funny!!

He also hit back at Gary Neville's criticism of David Luiz, who the former Manchester United defender said played like he was being controlled by a 10-year-old PlayStation gamer.

"It's a stupid approach to an opinion," Villas-Boas said.

Great result today. I really hope we can build on this.
I've said it before, if we can beat the big teams theres no reason we cant beat the so called lesser teams also
Consistency is what we need :o

results like today make me happy for about an hour, but come 7 o'clock I'm back to cursing the Norwich and Swansea games again.
    We are incredibly frustrating.

Any thoughts from Liverpool fans on Nevilles commentary today? I felt he was very good and called the game correctly saying Liverpool would eventually take advantage of Chelsea's looseness at the back.

He know's what he's talking about, but I felt a bit sick when he described John Terry's dummy run down the left for Sturridge's goal as 'brave'.

Still though 9 unbeaten is a decent run...

    Brighton(a) 2-1
    Wolves(h) 2-1
    Everton(a) 2-0
    Utd (h) 1-1
    Norwich(h) 1-1
    Stoke(a) 2-1
    West Brom(a) 2-0
    Swansea(h) 0-0
    Chelsea(h) 2-1

Just watched the highlights on MOTD2, and the stream I was watching the game on did no credit to Henderson's little run that led to the Kuyt chance late on. Was a nice bit of play from him, and with luck things like that will boost his confidence. I have been critical of a lot of things about him, but that was good to see.

As for Johnson's goal, well it certainly was a bloody good John Barnes impersonation. It looked good on the stream, but defo reminded me of Digger on MOTD2. Just stick a 10 on his shirt for that move, and I could have been watching a game from 23 years ago.

He should worry about his own sides frailties. What a poor team selection today. The guy is starting to look a clueless clown out of his depth. Roman has let better managers go.

Very true, Hendo did very well. More impact substitutions like that will do him the world of good.

Johnson did extremely well -peach of a ball by adam to be fair, however tired he was!!

Johnsons run and goal tends to add fuel to the fire that he should be a right wing and Kelly the first choice RB.

Enrique was badly caught out for Sturridges goal I have to note. Or was that Agger? Either way the Chelsea man had a free run.

What was interesting about that goal and one of the Chelsea chances that came later on was how Reina lost it with Skrtel.

He was literally jumping up and down with frustration, and followed Skrtel out past the six yard line to bollock him some more.

Ithought Adam was largely at fault for the first goal. Skrtel could either push out and leave his man free or hang back.

I didnt see the whole match but by all accounts Suarez and Enrique had poorish games. Delighted to see we could do the business without our two most consistant players this year off form.

In fairness to Enrique he didn't play bad in my opinion. Maybe not up to the standard of his past games but he was still reliable when needed. He had the beatings of Mata, who in fact didn't look dangerous until he was allowed to play centrally and roam about.

Suarez on the other hand just looked a bit jaded. His touch on the ball wasn't as sharp as normal and he wasted possession more than we are used to seeing. Injury and travel would have a lot to do with that though. He still worked like a terrier to win the ball though, something I absolutely love about the man.

Nice to see carra wasn't thrown straight in. Aggrr and Skittles to be the pairing? Well until Agger gets injured!

I'd rather see maxi play instead of Downing as well, himself and Suarez seem to have a good understanding. Some lovely intricate passing at times and everyone was constantly getting the foot in.
    Great display.
Best Chelsea and Aresnal and drw with united nit too shabby.

Their work ethic was up to their usual excellent standards. Suarez just picked the wrong option a few times and lost possession quite a bit. Still had a good game, played a part in the first goal and never gave the Chelsea defence a moments peace. Good, but not great. Enrique couldn't get forward with his usual gusto and could've done better for the goal. Still put a decent shift in, which proved enough.

More points away from home, who's have thunk that?

6 from Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs Away. Take out Spurs and only 2 conceded in 5 Away.

Play City and that's the other top 6 teams played which shows it's been a tough 3rd of the season.

December is Fulham (A), QPR (H), Villa & Wigan (A), Blackburn & Newcastle at Home.

Half way through the season then, time to get a run of wins going to state the obvious, Spurs and Chelsea have some tough games in December.

If we took away our hammering against City, we'd have the best defensive record in the league by a distance. But we don't, because we got hammered.
What's the point of ignoring a poor performance just to tidy up the stats a little? It's 6 conceded in 6 away games, still a decent record.

    Yeah, I'm a pedantic bollocks.
